Final Pot: 11 BB

Hand 2 - same utg player, I think my flop bet was terrible (check raise or check call better?). Should I bet the blank on the turn, and can I bet the blank on the river?

Ultimate Bet 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed)

River: (3.50 BB) K/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks.

Final Pot: 3.50 BB

Hand 3 - Why I hate raising with lil pockets

I'm utg, same slightly passive though reasonable player is utg + 1

Hand 1 -- Turn 3-bet is bad. More often than not an UTG raiser who checks the flop here has a monster. Call the raise and hope you hit on the river. Also, PF call is marginal at best.

Hand 2 -- Five players on an A-high semi-coordinated flop, it's not likely you're going to take it down so semi-bluffing loses some of its value. However, getting the pot HU is a huge victory. There's some merit to continue firing. After the turn gets checked through I think you can consider betting the river as it appears UTG is on a missed draw himself (I think UTG would have bet any other hand for value on the turn given what we've seen of UTG in your first hand).

Hand 3 -- Fold on the flop. Peel one off if you hold the 8d and fold the turn without improvement. If you held QdQs on the flop instead I think 3-betting has some strong merit.
