WSOP on TV in OZ?

Anyone in Australia know if the WSOP is on here and if so, what time/channel?? I'm studying abroad for a semester and I'd definately go to the bars to watch the WSOP if it is on (no cable at our house).

P.S. If anyone knows of home games in Syndey, let me know also. Dieing to play some live games. I also know two other study abroad students that would probably be interested.

OZ? Just when you thought party poker couldn't get worse...

sorry man, the short answer is no. I had foxtel cable when i was living in coogee and espn didn't carry it, just cricket highlights. the only poker on tv is this terrible low grade celebrity poker on sbs late on weeknights & but the melbourne casino has holdem, omaha & stud at its casino.

I was in Melbourne for a couple days and did go to the Crown. Left that city with more money than I arrived with. However, I do believe they have WPT on TV now here because I have heard it mentioned by a couple of other students (who find it a novelty that this game called poker with people in sunglasses is on TV). Hopefully someone will know if WSOP is on also.

i watched a WSOP show that was on a few weeks back on free to air TV - SBS telecast a poker tournament called "late night poker" with real players once a week - i dont know how regular the WSOP coverage is

little chance of finding many games in sydney - there are some biggish private games - you might find some limit omaha or another game you have probably never played called manilla
