I accidentally entered the 10 PM (Midwest) LIMIT tourney. Oh the agony. Somehow managed to finish in 63. Does that mean I have to play limit more? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I intentionally joined that. 5k, on the bubble, I get QQ in the small blind. 4 way action to the turn where I spike a queen. Yay. River is a flush card, uh-oh. Out in 55. Had I won there I would have been a chip leader. Great fun none the less, I love limit tournies.

I saw the hand, surprised he was min raising that UTG, then calling 1/3 of his stack off with second pair when you pushed.

I'm still in with about 3470.

This has to be the worst 90-minute runs of cards ever.
One 77, AJ, the rest is crap!!!

Still hanging on.

EDIT: I got AQ!!!, too bad it was raise, and re-raised /images/graemlins/frown.gif, had to muck that.

yeah, i had almost decided before i saw the flop that I was going to be making a move on that hand, so i guess it's a good thing the flop gave me chances. I thought he was a movable kind of guy, but it appears in this particular instance, i was wrong. I guess the push was debatable, but, well, so is almost everything else.

PAITIENCE IS KEY...3600 BABY...AQ...TPTK!!!

He folded, but it doesn't matter, got a lot 1.5k in chips.

100 people left. 1 Winner.

Raise 3x with AJ from UTG (just moved to this table, my last one was real tight.) Got reraised by short stack, cold called by another short stack, back to me for about 600 more, blinds at 150/300.

AK and AT on the shorter stacks AT spikes T on flop, down to 2300.

Two hands later 55 in the CO, one avg stack limps in, I push, he calls with A7s, double back up to 5258.

nice Rakkad. 3k at 2nd break. 90 people. I feel very confident. Seriously AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, 88 are due. Hopefully the first 3 are really due.

Nice AK vs JJ hand. Always fun to hit a 6-outer 4 times /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was a little worried about the min reraise, almost called, but decided just to set him allin. New tricky chip leader on my left now /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yea, a bit of a shame to see nicky get those chips. Just hope the cards keep coming

ethan

wow. nice catch on the end there. congrats on the finish, nicky was playing pretty tough at the end.

Rakkad

Yea that was a helluva suckout, didn't really want to play nicky HU, I knew it wouldn't be easy.

ethan
08-10-2004, 06:12 AM
I'd have had a hard time laying down a decent pair on the HU hand where the flop came KKx (KK8, I think). He played it like he would with a K, but I think he was _very_ confident you'd fold and would've made that move with a lot of hands, many of which don't include a pair. (Later hands where you two started showing your cards somewhat confirmed this, but these were my thoughts at the time too.)

Of course, you could have been in there with garbage too, in which case even I could fold /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Rakkad
08-10-2004, 06:21 AM
Yea, I had like 75s that had, was hoping to check turn because I picked up a flush draw, had no intention of calling the all in though

08-10-2004, 11:04 AM
so you won it?

congrats if so, if not, sounds like you at lesat had a great finish.

Hehe---I'm guessing this is the 63o vs KK hand that nicky e-mailed me about this morning?

53o, iirc. 63o would've flopped 2 pair /images/graemlins/smile.gif

But yea, that's it. Quite a way to go. Is nicky a poster here?
