Someone previously answered this, in some forum, but I cannot relocate it -- how to calculate return on investment? And what is a "good" level for SNGs (of various levels)? I have tried the search function, honest! Thanks much for any help.

(Profit/Tourney)/(Buy-In+Fee)

People are continuously answering this question they are probably fed up with it.

ROI = (Prizes-Buyins including rake)/buyins including rake x 100

30% is decent at 10+1-30+3 good but not great.

Well mack is right that 30% is good, but ROI is also dependent on how many you play at a time. I went through over 700 $10's earlier in the month with a 22% ROI, which is relatively low, but it was ok to me because I made the trade off for higher volume. ROI is an important number but the question of "what is good?" can't really be answered because it depends on all kinds of variables including buy-in level, and volume played.
