Hello all -

Recently made the jump from {8/16, 9/18} to {15/30, 20/40}. I've noticed that my quiet personality makes me the target for a lot of turn-raise bluffs from the regulars. I've adjusted my pre-flop style to be much more aggressive (rarely limping), which I've found gives me a lot more control over the table when I'm in a hand. Also, I employ checkraises much more frequently than at 8/16 (where they would dry up the action, but not take anyone off a hand). But should I be working on a table image as well? In other words, can you "keep people honest" with a loose table image, without actually having to make loose calls?

Thanks!

Have you tried reraising when you get check-raised on the turn? The typical scenario that I'm talking about is you raise preflop with a big pair, the board is all garbage, you're heads up with someone on the turn, and he check-raises you. Many people will do this with any piece of the board because they put you on AK, so play back at them from time to time.
