OK, I gues my first mistake was calling the raise with pocket 7's. Anyway, he table has been quite loose, and I thought more people would join the fun.

I then hit my set, luckily.
My question is, should I have relaxed a bit on the flop, trying to lure him into betting into me on the turn and perhaps river?

BTW, how do I make the hands histories with the players stated as SB; BB UTG and so on?

Beck:

You should have mucked preflop, as I think you said. There are times where cold calling preflop with a medium pocket pair is correct, but not here. I think one of the best points to note from this hand is that your relative position to the preflop raiser is poor, which makes it difficult to trap opponents and extract the maximum when you do hit your hand. Having said that, I do not have a problem with your post flop play.

You should post your .50/1.00 hands in the microlimits forum...you will get more responses.

I totally agree, that in the hindsight, I should never have seen the flop. But I would have been right to see the flop if the pot hadn't been raised, right? But that seems generally to be my problem, I'm to fond of pocket pairs.....

Actually, I thought 0,5/1 was small stake, but in the future I'll post in the micro-limit.
Thanks for the reply.

I agree. The postflop play is fine, but when the raiser is in early position, you should probably muck mid pocket pairs.
