Good luck to all playing. I bubbled in 3 satellites and don't have the cash to buy in directly. Maybe next year....

Ouch, sorry man. I saw you were out early and was wondering about that.

Was off to a decent start, got up to 3600 20 minutes in, but I've fallen back to the starting stack level by losing several small pots.

2415 and 436/720 at the break.

Nick B.
08-08-2004, 05:33 PM
2515 at first break. Could be a lot worse.

I was railbirding on Negreanu's table and people were asking if you were a full-time pro-- you must be doing something right. /images/graemlins/cool.gif Good luck.

Busted out the hand before the break with JQs, on a board of JJ835(?) no flush possiblity to someone who had KJo.
Sigh, so much for my shot at big money.

Gl to those remaining

Cool. I've heard of people discussing which well known pro I am (in diguise) before - makes me wonder if any of these "pro lists" are at all right.

Busted 705th. I had 99 vs KK on a flop with low cards...

Nick B.

2265 at second break

Che

Made one of the biggest laydowns I've made in a while early in the second hour.

Big stack check-raised me all-in on a 4-way flop - couldn't figure out if he had a set or a flush draw so I folded and was back to less than starting chip count.

I've recovered nicely, but I'm still bummed I had to fold my queens. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Che

i've been going to every table in the WCOOP main event and when somebody asks who a real named pro is, i always throw out "who is senor beef? somebody told me he plays $1000-2000 at the bellagio".

just kidding.

Sponger, don't you play 30000/60000 at the bellagio?

This incredible tourney has actually surpassed a lot of the Season 1 WPT events in prize money, am I right?

mctommy015
08-08-2004, 07:12 PM
that a way nick, just watched you double up. you had to be thrilled to see that AJ

TylerD
08-08-2004, 07:13 PM
Its bigger than most WPT tournaments, season 1 for sure and most of the events in season 2.

Three hands in a row, KK steal blinds, ATs steal blinds, JJ double up. Very nice. The AJ was good, but I would have preferred j2o, lol.

Nick B.

It's Bonillafan, but I am out and bumming. I only paid for one SNG to enter, but oh well. I hate tournaments, lol. I couldn't fold QQ on a J high board even though I knew he had AA.

Che

I'm embarassed to say it, but I should have a lot more.

My first table had lots of poor players and I was there 7 levels, but left with a below average stack. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Guess I played to their level a little too much.

ammbo
08-08-2004, 09:16 PM
I am in 47th place, T1600 with 126 players left.

Che
08-08-2004, 09:38 PM
Had a below average but healthy stack until two of my steals got raised all-in and then I bluffed off a chunk with Ax against TT when rags flopped.

Was down to 105 of 107 and called another short stack's all-in from my BB. His 99 beat my AK.

Maybe next time...

22nd in chips and tried to "steal the blinds" with AK. SB "defended" with AA and I played right into him.

2+2 is well represented still. I see Rigoletto and Ignatius hanging in and Russell is a sometimes contributor if that is him. Anyone else?

David,

Is that Ignatious, as in Iggy, from Guiness & Poker (guinessandpoker.blogspot.com)? Just curious. Thanks!

davidross

I'm not familiar with that site, I'm not sure. Ignatius used to post in the tournament section all the time, lives in NY, and is a strong player.
