67s

That's correct, but AA is still better than a 75% favorite to beat 67s in a heads-up situation.

Actually it is 87s but with a different suit the either Ace.

Sorry guys, its 56s.

Although it actually loses more than the other hands, it manages to eek out more ties as well which seems to make up for it.

<<Sorry guys, its 56s.>>>

This makes sense, intuitively, since any board that made a bike for the aces would make a straight to the six for the poor schmoe stuck with suited connectors.

No offense, but why do people insist on posting things that are flat out wrong whenever this sort of question comes up.

Just a guess.

I seemed to remember a very long thread about this very question quite a while ago, in which Sklansky concluded that the best hand against AA is in fact TT. Upon further research, the question in the Sklansky thread was actually which hand is best against AA or AK.

BTW, what would the board have to be for AA to beat 67, but tie to 56?

I think what you meant to say was, "It wins the same as the other hands, but loses less because it ties more."

I don't think it's a board that beats 67 and ties 56.

I think it's that with 56 - you have loast one of the 5's needed for AA to make the wheel.

It's probably the same reason that 89s ever so slightly better than 910s.

I suppose you are right.

if you think logically another pocket pair could beat the AA if you make your set, which is not likely. you obviously want a hand with as many outs as possible. so TT would not be the best hand. but who knows you could make the set!

Cleveland Guy

your chances of making a set with TT are exactly the same as making it with 22

yea thats pretty obvious. i used TT as an example because it was mentioned a couple times in the previous posts.
