SNG player playing limit to clear some Party reloads. My main question (other than raise preflop I know) is my flop play. Was this a bad cap? After MP2 3-bet I was about 99.99% sure he had an overpair here and my cap basically tells him I have a set.

Well played. You could of check-raised on the turn, but I'm not a big fan of that. Worst possible thing is that someone goes runner-runner or hits a higher set on the river. I like the check-raise on the flop.

If you know he has an overpair, then you might be able to get in a 3-bet on the turn instead of just a chek-raise, which is good. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

And your cap doesn't tell him you have a set at this level. It can tell him many many interesting random things.

Raise preflop.

Nice flop check-raise. He makes everybody pay one bet, then you pop them up for another. Him 3-betting only sweetens the deal.

You have to play like this. I doubt he had an overpair. Who lays down an overpair on this board unless they are horribly weak-tight. He prolly had AK, AQ, KQ, or 99

Raise preflop. Flop cap is fine.
