Easy call for me, expecting to see JJ-99

Would be an easier call with the Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif giving you a redraw against a small flush draw, but I certainly wouldn't fault one for calling here. Smells like a draw, a set would almost surely have C/R you here...

...I don't think it's a bad play either way. Lot of chips in that pot, but you still have plenty of chips to work with if you fold.

I had a KK hand yesterday in a $20+2 that looked just about exactly like this (3-4 hands in, iirc). The BB pushed 700 into a pot of 200 on a Txx 2-suited flop, and I figured it was an easy call. He turns over TT and I make my quickest tourney exit ever.

I'm still pretty sure a call's the right decision (especially in lower buyins), but I'd be curious to hear if anyone thinks otherwise.

I'd probably fold, only 150 invested early in the tournament. No need to double up or get killed by trips.

He limped in at first, so I'm expecting 66 or 33.

I would probably call. There is always another SNG starting soon. He most likely has a flush draw or a 9. Nobody would play a set or big overpair like this. If this was a MTT I would really think about folding but not in a SNG.

Thanks for the responses. Although it isn't a comfortable call, I felt it was an easy call. His likely holding, IMO is a flush draw, as well as other hands that I'm in even better shape against. It may be the second hand but IMO my edge is too big here to fold.

i would call here for sure. i would be surprised if you didnt have the best hand. if he had KK or AA he would have reraised preflop and 99 wouldny go all in here.

Does it matter ?

Obviously it doesn't but FWIW he was on a total random bluff with JT, no flush draw.
