Yesterday (Friday, August 6th) was my mother's birthday, so we headed down from Memphis, TN to the Horseshoe in Tunica, MS to eat at their buffet and celebrate. I had heard about the Midwest Poker Open and was thinking about playing in some events while I was down there. Or at least in some of the juicy side games. Being that I am 19, though, and despite being 6'4" 250 look like I am 15, I wasn't so sure what would happen.
We got to the 'Shoe at about 7:00 P.M., and I walked up to the front door with my girlfriend on my arm and parents behind me. I walked in there like I owned the place, but sure enough a large, middle-aged security guard asked for my I.D.
Ah well, the buffet was great.
