I am soooooooooooooo bored with online play. Ever since my July trip to Vegas I can't seem to even get the least bit excited about it. I have tried playing different sites, different games, nothing is working.

I have played a grand total of 2 tournaments since July 20'th online. 3'rd place and 9'th place. My game is great right now. But, I open the client prior to a tourney starting and just go "yuk" and close the client.

I am taking 2 and 3 days off at a time and I still don't want to play.

Yet, no change in my live game. I want to play and am playing as much as ever.

Time for a nice long break? Anybody else ever go through this? I haven't felt it yet, but sooner or later I am going to miss the money. Maybe play more live?

I'm at a loss, I still love to play, but just not online lately. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

hmm, i don't have any solutions, but i'm in the same position kind of. I'm kind of just ehhhh about online play right now, though I was seriously into it just a month ago, and I also have a trip to vegas booked this weekend that I am excited about... so I dunno.

I feel exactly the opposite. Live play is so boring to me now. 35 hands per hour ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I have become bored with online play a couple times in the last 6 months. I find that quiting for 3-5 days really helps a lot. It's a great time to hit the poker books-- maybe try to find some holes in your game.

I play pretty much every day, it does get boring, and I was getting very burned out. Then I took a 3 week vacation in June. I didn't even think about poker or money at all. Came back refreshed, interested, and a better player.

The solution seems pretty obvious to me….. it’s time for you to move to Vegas and turn pro! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

me too. thats one of the bonuss of just playing for extra money instead of for a living. i took almost the whole summer off while moving and spending time with my wife and kids. the only poker i played was a weekly friday night local tourney thats just too easy $$ to pass up. for 2 of those months the only posting i did on this site was under WPT,NVG, and other topics(no hand annalysis for me). I did watch poker on tv though.

i started back 30-40 hours a week 2 weeks ago and its great. im actually having fun again as well as making money. my hat it off to you online pros. the money is great but you have to be a special kind of personallity to do it day in and day out. as a matter of fact my hat is off to the live pros as well. i cant imagine grinding it day in and out sitting at the casino table either. but at least there are people to talk to.
