I was replaying this hand in PT and thought I'd get some feedback. How would you play this hand?

With absolutely no read, I would pot this flop, and fold to a large reraise. If I thought that MP was likely to bet at this whether he had an A or not, I would check raise the flop and fold to a raise. If flatcalled (in either case) check-call the turn and probably the river too - though calling an allin on the river would be hard; I would have to have a read that he could do that with a PP other than TT or a weaker ace.

I'd probably play this the same. If he has pocket 2's I'm paying him off.

I'd have probably called. If he has AT, bummer for you. If he had AQ or AK, I'd have expected a raise and I'll pay those off. If he had Ax, which is what I'd expect here, then it's good to be you. If he has 2 no pair at all, and pushed in with a spade draw, which also seems quite likely, then it sucks to be sucked out on, but good work not letting it happen after he made his hand.

I don't understand this. Surely he wouldn't limp in with AQ/AK/TT? So he has AJ/AT/A2, 22, a worse ace, or he's semi-bluffing a flush draw. With the idiots at party, you can't fold.

I think you'll get some replies that say raise the flop because of the spade draw, but heads up I'm less concerned about that possibility, and more interested in trapping the maniacs, but my outlook on that may be faulty as I said in a recent thread.

I think it's quite possible he *did* trap the maniac. Plenty of people will push in with Ax there, and yes, if he's outkicked, it would make more sense to have seen a preflop raise.

The general consensus seems to be that I didn't play this too poorly. I like to hear that!

As it turns out, he had TT and I was out. Oh well.
