You are getting 7:1 from the pot. You have 5 outs. You are an 8.2:1 dog. You can call here w/ implied odds. If you hit, you can make it up w/ a c/r (especially if you hit a 9).

I am working on discounting of outs. Is there any thought that you should discount from 5 outs to 4.5 or so given that the K of clubs could give the other guy a flush? Assuming you discount, are the implied odds still good enough to justify calling?

there is also the chance that UTG+1 was slowplaying a flopped set, 97, 96, or hell, even a straight, and I am drawing dead.

Thought about that... I didn't discount the clubs, because he waited until the turn to be aggressive why believe a draw. Mostly you'll see this on the flop, not the turn. I don't buy the flush.

So I put villain on a Q. 2-pair or otherwise. Yes, trips are possible. But would imagine a raise on flop w/ 2-suited cards.
