Sitting here at work thinking about a hand last night. I don't have the hand history so bear with me. My opponent in this hand is loose PF, calling station thereafter.

Party $.50/$1

I have 88 in the BB.

folded to MP3 who raises. folded to me in the BB, I reraise, he calls.

FLOP:
QJ7r

I bet, he calls.

TURN
2 (completing the rainbow)

I bet he, calls.

River
9

I check, he bets, I call.

Questions:
1-Is 3-betting bad PF? I wonder because even though I think I have the best hand preflop, this jackass is going to fold before the showdown.
2-Do you bet the turn?
3-Do you call the river?

If anyone cares, I'll tell you what the jackass had later.

Thanks for your comments

I like the 3-bet preflop. Tricky to play after the flop, though, without an 8 or all low cards. I probably would have just check-called it down.
