Once I decided that I'd play, I was going to bet and raise my whole stack no matter what came. Bad idea at this point?

Since no one has responded yet, I'll post some of my thoughts with some additional info. This was a 30 person tournament, we were down to about 22 left at the time. I was short stacked due to another "bad beat" of sorts (not that I'm complaining about that. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with limit hold em, as opposed to the no-limit push and pray that I'd probably do with this hand. Should I have waited a bit longer?
