Just got KEM cards in today, are they supposed to be smaller than regular cards?

The bridge size are ---- don't assume this is a bad thing. Poker rooms tend to use the bridge size. The bridge size are also good for games where you get a lot of cards (pinochle, canasta).

These things are copyright 1986 and stink terribly. Is this common also?

regular depends what you are used to...most casinos use bridge size, which is what you received. My kem cards don't stink, were those used casion specials perhaps. God knows what they could have been exposed to in their career.

Your lucky, my KEMS are copyrighted 1935,lol.

I believe the smell is because of the material they are made of. The smell is a small price to pay for such good cards.

My Kems have no smell at all. What kind of smell does yours have? Were they used?

Got mine from Kardwell.

No, they were brand new. Can't really describe the smel other than "unique".

I had a set that smelled very bad - they were an older design. I have 4 sets of the Arrow design - Poker size - and they do not stink at all.

Put them in the dishwasher and wash them. It wont ruin them whatsoever.

yes, dont dry them in there though. rather than risk any being jetted out of the tray and onto the heating element, I would just wash them in a sink of soapy water though.

Ya, that heating element will burn right through the cards. Air dry only!

despite what other people say i would never wash mine in the dishwasher! the thing in the bottom that spins around could ruin them. it's better to hand wash them anyway. warm water, dial soap, and a splash of vinager. ohh and the smell goes away eventually.

I, too, am thinking of purchasing some KEM cards. On their website they have a link to consumer cards and another to casino cards. Is there much of a difference in quality?
