View Full Version : standard play?

I open raise in late-middle position with KcJc. An unknown player 3 bets form the SB. I call, it's heads-up. The game is mildly tight but not super tough.

Flop is Tc9h3c. SB bets, I raise, SB 3 bets, I 4 bet, SB calls.

Turn is 2d. SB checks, I check.

Any thoughts appreciated...

just call the flop, it cost you 3 more small bets this way, the turn is only 2 small bets.

also, would you raise TT,99, KK, or AA on the flop or on the turn? what are you representing?

Would you not cap pre-flop with KK or AA?

My reasoning was that on the flop, I am close to even $ agaisnt anything but a set, yet on the turn, I am a significant dog to just about anything, so I'd rather put the yen in on the flop. Of course, if I get bet at on the turn, all is lost - I pay more when I miss, and make less after I hit.

I would probably raise all the hands you

mentioned -- TT, 99, KK, AA, on the flop. Perhaps not KK, where I would probalby wait for the river or perhaps the turn. However, against known opponents, things vary widely.

I would NEVER 4 bet pre-flop heads up with any hand.
