Hello all,

I'm hitting up Vegas next week and I'd like your guys' advice on the lower-limit games at the Bellagio. How are the 4/8 - 10/20 games? Tougher than a typical 4/8 game anywhere else? Or should I expect the typical softness you would anywhere playing the lowest limit offered? I'm mainly a low limit player and was wondering if I should expect a tougher caliber of players there.

Thanks.

I haven't played there myself but:

The time of day will likely matter, night better than daylight and weekends better than weekdays.

Bellagio doesn't spread 10/20, they have the 15/30...

Bellagio low limit games should be softer than locals hangouts, it's going to be the typical tourists with a crappy rake game.... but the typical tourist play will probably compensate for that, BUT expect a waiting list for the low limit games (sub 6/12).

Someone else here is can probably quote you better limits there, but they definitely don't spread 10/20, the Mirage is the one for that game...

So overall, it's likely what you'd expect at an obnoxiously over the top hotel's large poker room...
Poor attitudes, bad service, bad players... [at low limits]

YMMV!

Good luck!

If the Bell doesn't work out, try Excalibur.... 1-3, 2-6, $100 min/max NL, and at busy times usually a 4/8 with half kill. Last week they actually had a table or two of 2-6 spread with a full kill.

Also, do a search on here, I think this question has been asked over and over here, I gave you what I have heard on the Bell, I find the Excalibur an easier fit for me.... and very easy for me to get to vs. the Bell or Mirage... when I move up limits though, I will be calling on them, that is for sure!

So the kill games at Excal -- am I correct that the blinds in the half kill game are 50% of the stakes (e.g. 4/8 with $1 SB and $2 BB), and the full kill games have the stakes double after a player has won a certain number of pots in a row? Thanks in advance... this is one topic I've never fully understood, and you don't see kill games online, where I play 98% of my poker.

Just got back from a 5 day stay at the Bellagio. The 4-8 game was ridiculously beatable. A myriad of really bad players with money to light in fire inhabit the game. Most of the local rocks play early am/afternoon and are easily to spot. Yesterday before my flight took off I took almost 6 racks out of the game. Personally you can play LL at the other casinos, but the Bellagio is the best place to play on the strip IMHO.

Just wondering - at which room(s) could I expect the day game to still be soft? I wouldn't want to wait around until night time just because the day game is tough (not that I couldn't find other things to do) /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll mainly be playin 3/6 (or even lower) because of my puny BR /images/graemlins/frown.gif - maybe some of the cheaper NL games too. But I'll also take a stab at the 4/8 games at the "bigger, nicer" rooms just so I can say I played there. Also, why no 5/10 games at any of the rooms (according to pokerupdate.com anyway)?

Bellagio 4-8 during the day is not going to be tough. There will be 1 or 2 local rocks in your game. There is still enough to feed off the other players. I am sure the 3-6 game at the Mirage is the same. I also played in the 4-8 w/ 1/2 Kill at the Monte Carlo one night with a horrendous 1-2 blind structure. It promoted excessive limping. Bad players there too.

You dont need a huge bankroll for the 4-8 game. Buy in for a Rack and have another buy in ready just in case. If you play smart you will do fine.
