Nasty habit?

I just noticed that i've developed a nasty habit of checking my unimproved TPTK on the river when a backdoor flush possibility arrives against 3 or more opponents in low limit. How often will is this be a good move (opponents hit 2-pair or better on the river) and how often am i losing money.
