Certainly the call on the end was automatic.

I bet the turn with the line you took on the flop.

I think the line I would take, and I would love some comments on this, is to check the flop with the intention of raising if the CO bets and betting the turn if it is checked out. I'm not sure how I respond to the BB betting out the turn if the flop is checked out.
