This is not my normal line

UB 10/20 3 handed

I'm on the button with AA and raise. SB 3bets. BB folds. I just call.

Flop: 5 4 J r

SB bets. I raise. SB 3bets. I call.

Turn: 9

SB bets. I raise. SB calls.

River: 4

SB checks. I bet. SB calls.

Who plays the preflop and flop like that?

If it's you you're asking about... I cap preflop and 3 bet the flop.

Well, if I cap preflop its very likely it'll be a check/call situation for the rest of the hand... or gasp.. even a check/fold by him.

Not saying it makes my play right or anything, it's just what I chose to do here.

Normally if you "only" call his 3bet preflop, you are hoping to get a raise on turn? If you think capping preflop makes him go into check-call, I guess raising flop does the same?

I would cap preflop and call if he checkraises flop and raise turn, but otherwise bet all the way. Or call 3bet preflop and raise turn.

I like it a lot and I think you just have a lot of options of how you can play this hand. When your opponent is aggressive I like to cap preflop. When he isn't I prefer the way you played it.
