get the bridge size.

poker size are too wide. most if not all cardrooms use bridge size cards.

also with the poker size cards, the face cards look stupid because they look like they have too much white space around the royal pic.

If you have ever played in a cardroom, casino or whatever...they usually use bridge size cards if that helps.

I don't care too much about which size, so I bought the wider poker size. I like 'em just fine. I've played with the bridge size, they're dandy as well.

Whatever... there's no real reason to get one or the other... find a set of card backs you like, and just take them regardless of what size they are.

True, keep in mind you are very limited on back designs when you choose the poker/wide size.

I use the KEM Arrow Poker Sized Cards with the super index's. I have a red deck and a blue deck. Best cards I have ever owned.

I have the exact same, arrow with super index. My table is 7' x 4' with rounded corners, regular index is too small to see from every seat, super index is much easier on the eyes. Viewing your hole cards is a little tougher, but the pros outweigh the cons by far. Best cards ever.

You should try the KEM magnums then. HUGE center indexes, but the corner pips are small, great for peeking. Best of both worlds.

I know most poker players hate drastic change, so these aren't for everybody. The last time I tried them, two out of four players wanted the old decks back. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

See them here, scroll to the middle to see comparison to the Super Index cards. (http://www.newtonsnovelties.com/market/cardgames/kem/guarantee.htm)

I have a set of KEM cards. They are excellent, and will probably last you forever.

Having said that, you definitely should buy the bridge size. That is the size used by the casinos. I know it doesn't sound right, but if you've ever played in a B&M cardroom, you have used them.
