Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (7 handed)

MP2 seemed TAG in the short amount of time leading up to this. Since playing about 30 more hands with him I can safely say that is a good read.

SB is loose and CO is unknown.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
2 folds, MP2 raises, CO calls, 1 fold, SB calls, Hero calls,

Flop: (8 SB) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, CO folds, SB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero ?

Bet the turn. He's probably not raising the flop (immediately to your left) with a flush. He's more likely protecting his hand with an overpair or with AQ. (You could also go for a check-raise.)

In that case wouldnt a c/r be more productive?

He of course could be raising the flop with a naked A /images/graemlins/spade.gif and take the free card where you slap yourself on the forehead. That's why I 3-bet the flop and lead the turn.

I was editing to add that as you were writing. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

That's why I 3-bet the flop and lead the turn.

That is probably the best approach.

Put me in the 3-bet the flop, lead the turn camp. He's more likely to be raising with the naked trump ace or with AQ/KQ than he is with a flush.

Still packing a gat to your home game? /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Even though they actually seem to be saying the exact same thing. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Once it is headsup after MP2s raise, I think I three bet the flop. If he caps it, I may give him credit for an overpair with the As or Ks, through he may have AKo with either As or Ks and would cap the flop. (A case can definitely be made for calling the raise and leading the turn if the fourth spade doesn't fall.)

If the fourth spade doesn't hit the turn, I bet out, afraid of giving a free card.

I really don't think you are behind here unless you got really unlucky against AsKs.

I three bet this flop, as you are probably ahead. If it gets capped, then I might start to wonder.

On the turn, if a non spade hits, i bet, if raise, i call, and call the river.

You will be ahead more times than not
