Call... and it's not even close... you will see AT, KT, and 98 here often enough to make this +EV.

Not even close huh... I need more votes before I agree with that

Folding here is largely player dependent. If he's a solid player, it's an easy fold, if he's an ultra aggressive pot stealing maniac, it's an easy call.

If I just joined this table and had no reads on anyone, I'm laying this down every time.

Why no raise preflop? See where you stand with your Q/Q, if UTG+1 has K/K or A/A he'll surely let you know, and if he does, this hand will be easier to get away from.

I agree.. not reraising before the flop was a mistake... I might have avoided this situation had I raised pf.

I am under the assumption that he is an overly aggressive party-type fish. Really though a PF raise was in order.

I think he is on a draw for some reason, as soon as I saw the post I thought 98.... hmmm.... also maybe too much alcohol is clouding my vision. /images/graemlins/grin.gif maybe not even close was a bad way to put it!!

If you know that he's a decent player its a clear fold, bad player clear call, so I guess this doesnt help much /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Interested in the results though.

Well.. I was multitabling and had no read... so I folded

This is one of the reasons that I prefer 6-max NL if I am playing 4 tables+. Reads can be very important, and only keeping track of 20 opponents is a lot better than 36.

Clear call, most people at this limit will flat call your raise with a seven/overpair.
