I figured his call of the flop meant he had something and I was probably behind, should I bet the turn with so many outs available? And I know, I got too excited and bet too much on the end.

After the hand BB told me he was going to all-in if I'd bet the turn.

IMHO, I like the way you played it. You've gut nut-nothing. I bet the flop when i bet preflop, but if he's calling 4 I like the check and free card when the third spade hits. How many outs did you think you had if he had spades ?? Zero, doesnt give you much for odds. After watching you check the turn, his check on the river I would always take for not having the flush.

I forgot to add, he told me he had pocket queens and was going to all in on the turn had I bet.

Are there only six spades in this deck of cards?

If he had QQ he made one hell of a laydown....
