On the advice of 2+2ers, I have downloaded Pokertracker. How do you get the hand histories from the Pokerstars email to my AOL mail to the software database?
Thanks.

You have to copy the e-mail, and put it in a text folder. You can't automatically import hands from AOL with pokertracker.

I hate to sound dumb, but how do I take an email and make a text file out of it?

open notepad (under accessories).

copy the entire email body and paste it into notepad

then in notepad go to file -> save

this is a very difficult way to go about it, once you decide to use pokertracker more seriously you should get a pop3 account and import from there.

Get yourself a Yahoo.com email account. Scroll to the bottom of the email message and click "Save as Text" or something like that. It will save the file to a .txt file.

I don't know if you can do this with AOL, but I have it setup to check my mail server and identify mails that are from a poker site. It then downloads them and deletes them from the server.
