Hey guys,

I'll be in Las Vegas for my 21rst birthday in mid-August for 3 days at Harrah's. Just wondering what casinos have the best games, i.e. good games, nice room, atmosphere, service, waiting lists, etc.

Not quite sure what I want to play yet, probably anywhere from 4/8, 6/12, (most interested in) 10/20, and if I'm feeling brave 20/40.

Thanks,
Chris

The 6/12 at Mirage is a good game most of the time. The softest games I played were at Excalibur, but they don't spread anything above 4/8, and only that on demand. Vegas regulars can comment here better than I, of course. For the casino newbie, which I was, the staff at the Mirage was great. Bellagio seemed a bit snooty, as if this 4/8 player wasn't worth the time (which may well be true). The folks at Excalibur seemed nice enough.

I just got back from Vegas last week. It was my first time playing live.

I played at the Mirage 3/6. The dealers were all solid and kept the game moving. They didn't berate anybody, (read me), when they were daydreaming when they should have been posting their blind. They were spreading lots of games, so you could play at whatever limit you are comfortable.

I peeked at the Bellagio room when we went there for the buffet lunch. (FYI, the best $16 you will spend) It looked much nicer from a comfort standpoint. They were spreading 4/8 and up.

I stick to Bellagio & Mirage for my Vegas trips. Bellagio has 4/8, 8/16, 15/30 and 30/60. The 8/16 is always soft. The 15/30 is good at night. I hear the 30/60 is the wildest game but I have yet to try. At the mirage, both the 10/20 and 20/40 are good at night. During the day, they can be rock gardens.
