For those of you that play both sit and go and multi-table tournies, what is your greatest return on investment? In the long-run, what do you end up making more money at? Curious to hear your opinions and why you think one or the other is correct. Thanks.

In theory, multi-tables are more profitable. In multis, the opposition is worse, since a lot of people enter multis are more likely to
A. Pay more for multies than SNGs
B. Do not have the experience
C. Do not have the patience for long hours
D. Play more weak-tight, because Multis are rare compared to SNGs
E. be dreamers who want to hit the big score

SNGs have stronger players, and more specialists. However the results are immediate. While in multis, it could take a long time for you to profit, so a good bankroll is a must.

What do you consider to be a "good bankroll?"

Depends. On PartyPoker I find I do very well on SNGs while struggle on the multi-table. In live games though I seem to do better on the mult-table games. Depends on the blind structure and the types of players. The tourneys on line seem to have a lot of very bad players in both. The problem I always have in multis is that I get blinded out before the "all in crowd" is knocked out. On the SNGs I can better pick my spots or wait for the yahoos to get knocked out without worrying about getting short stacked from the blinds. I am to the point where I consistently do well at SNGs and consistently go out midway through online MTT. Just my 2 cents and probably worth only 1.

Hi I have been a lurker on these forums for a while!

I would definitely say that MTT's are the more profitable for me and it is that which I specialise in - I mainly play tournaments with a $50 or less buy in as well as this I tend to mix the tournaments I enter about 30% are those with a field over 100 where I have had my big wins, I also play let of smaller tournaments which allows me to pick up my tick over money - Since January I estimate I am roughly $20k in profit.
