Guido?

What do you do on the river after this strange action?

Thanks,

I would check but maybe it's too weak. I think MP has weak ace.

maybe MP had a higher pocket pair but was scared by the ace...?

check. You are beaten by any 7 and any A. Button cold-call says at least a pair. They could both be on flush draws, but its more likely that at least one of the two have at least a pair. Whether you call a bet on the river is read-dependent; if they're passive enough to check the turn, they probably wouldn't be bluffing the river/

Check. Only thing that you can beat is a lower PP. If I had to I'd put him on QQ or KK, but weak A is also possible.

ew, i think button's on a flush draw, so i wouldn't worry about him.

as for mp, your guess is as good as mine. my hand reading skills suck, but for some reason i'd put him on QQ or KK, and is afraid you have an A. I think he bets if you check, and you have to begrudgingly call him. I don't see him raising your bet, so maybe he'll make a mistake and fold.

On the other hand. It wouldn't surprise me to see the button turn up K7s or something dumb like that. Bah, I'm an amateur. I'd probably bet the river, and fold to a raise /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Were you calling a river bet by either player? Were you overcalling if MP bet and button called?

Not calling a river bet would have been a tragedy of gigantic proportions

Yes of course...

Am I the only one who would throw this hand away to the flop raise? Without any reads, the cap preflop usually means JJ-AA or AK. You're drawing almost dead to all of these except JJ which you are splitting with. Without any backdoor draws I don't like my hand enough to continue.

The pot is so large at this point you can usually peel one off to try and spike a set on the turn.
