True Poker Room

Can anyone tell me about True Poker. I downloaded it this week and like the graphics, etc. I have not played yet, I am always on Party but want to try a different site. I usually play $1/2 or $2/4 and some sit and go tournies. Let me know about True Poker.

Personally, I don't like it at all. The games are much slower and I believe that you are limited to two tables. Not a lot of game selection and a bit tighter than Party. They have a first time deposit bonus though, so you might as well get the bonus and try it for yourself.

What Nottom said. I think you can only play 1 table, though. The games are soft but it's sooooo slow. Did I mention slow? It's slow.

They usually have 1 or 2 S&G's running (usually 10+1). In the evenings they have about 4-5 1/2 games and a couple of 2/4 games going. Action is lighter during the day.

The 1/2 is full of loose-passive players (the tables are usually 50%+ seeing the flop). The 2/4 is noticeably tighter.

Two unique things about the 1/2 game:

1 - There is no rake for pots below $12. They rake $1 at a $12 pot size.
2 - They don't use $.50 chips, so there are two $1 blinds in the 1/2 games.

You are limited to 1 table.

Look at the hnd/hr stat on the site. The slowness is an illusion by and large.

True Poker is decent. The single most redeeming feature of the site is there are a good number of core players that aren't very good. The notes you keep on them will help you time and time again.
