I finally got my bankroll to $10,000 and took my first full week shot at Party $5/$10. I suck. Very tough week, so many big pots that seemed to go against me. Here are my stats from Pokertracker. Help me out Please! Should I go back to $3/$6?

3,227 hands

Vol. Put $ In Pot 17.6 %
Saw flop all hands 21.75 %

Att. to steal blinds: 12.87%

Won $ when saw flop: 33.76
Amount won ($482.25)

Went to Showdown 32.48 %
Won $ at showdown 48.68 %

Aggression Factor 1.11

Folded to river bet 28.42

Check raises 1.06 % of possible actions

I can barely think straight after this week. In the last 11 hours I got pocket aces 1 time and won the blinds. I lost $245 on pocket Jacks.

Question is, did I get outplayed - do I suck?

When I have a losing session(s) I review the hands in PT to see whether the ones which went to showdown I played badly and to see if there's any obvious leaks.

If you're looking at Jacks, my stats suggest these will win only round about 50% of the time. Saving when they are losing is hard to get right because you never know if you're facing TT/99, draws etc. I have learned to lay them down when faced with overcards on the board and action, but I still think I hang on to AK too long when it misses. And I suck when I end up playing AT to the end from late position routinely getting shown AQ/AK /images/graemlins/blush.gif

I would play for a bit longer and see if you're getting outplayed or unlucky. Over just 3000 hands $500 down at 5/10 is nothing to get upset about. A couple of $150 wins and you're looking at almost nothing (& presumably without the rake, a profit). I hate having a -$300 losing session but it happens. Mind you, the +$300 sessions make up for it /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just my two worthless wine gums.
