My friends are going up there this weekend for a boxing match and this might be a good opportunity for me to go play there for the first time. But these friends have heard that the wait lines at Foxwoods on Saturday takes hours and hours? Hours? For a mid limit cash game? Is that possible or are they thinking of tournaments?

foxwoods ppl clue me in plz!

If you get there around noonish the wait will not be too bad. If you get there after noon you will probably wait for hours. The key is to get there before they open up all of the new tables so the wait list goes fast once they open them.

Also the weather matters-- if it is a nice day there are less people playing cards. To give you an example, 2 months ago I went and it was gorgeous out and I got a 10/20 game within 15 minutes at 3pm. This last weekend it was miserable out and I got there at 11:30 and got a 20/40 game within 10 minutes-- however at 2:30ish there was at least 30 people on a waiting list for the 20/40 game and it stayed that way until 9 or so.

So regardless of weather, before noon is the key.

But if the weather is great and I am there at 3 pm, I am in trouble.

Btw, if I get there in the evening lets say 10pm - then from what I gather, I will find a table np?

I went a few Saturdays ago and the wait for 2-4 both at 3pm and at 10pm was 2 to 3 hours. The 4-8 list was around half the size but I don't know if it was half the wait.

I think around 10pm you might have to wait a bit but it is not as bad as earlier.

I sort of lose track of time after 10 hours of playing so I am not sure if there is open seating at 10pm or 2am. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
