My Internet connection at home is down and the bad beat jackpot was getting huge, so I thought I'd hit up the $5/10 full kill game at Trump for a few hours. A couple player kept looking at me funny, I didn't know if they recognized the name or pig marker or if they were just strange or gay.

Anybody?

Nope, I was playing at Lucky Chances in SF last night. Great 6/12 games were to be had.

Glad to hear it. Last night was my first experience with weeknight poker in Indiana. Almost as soft as Saturday night, at least below $10-20.

How big is the bad beat jackpot now? When I was there Sunday one of the tables thought they had it but the floor ruled no. I never found out what happened, but they made a hell of a lot of noise for a minute.

I don't know if I told the story about how my table almost hit the Jackpot last week: A friend I was with had quad aces and beat Aces full of tens, but it didn't count because the loser had pocket tens and for the jackpot you need Aces full of Tens beat, with an ace in your hand. Anyway we thought we had it for a couple seconds, but alas we did not. For the record, the dealer was a real A$$ hole explaining the rules, and the whole time he was dealing for us for that matter.

And to answer your question, "How big is the bad beat jackpot now?" I don't know. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It was at $31K last night, but was hit this morning. $9K now (I was surprised it's that high already).

I was there Sunday afternoon as well for a bit, good game, a little weaker compared to the Harrah's tables.

Also, just for the record, I am about 75-80% sure the BB jackpot is only good for the 3/6$ tables at Trump. Now at Harrahs thats a different story, since thats the lowest game they have. I have found the 5/10 at Trump to be soft, if not softer, then the 3/6.

I'm 100% sure that's not true /images/graemlins/smile.gif. Checked by phone and with the floor manager yesterday to clarify that $3-6 and $5-10 games qualify, but $10-20 does not.

Thats why I said 75-80%...I believe when they first started this was the case though....I have not been back to Harrahs since Trump opened, the room is soo much nicer at trump. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hi,
I've only played internet poker but would like to play some B&M games. What casinos in the Chicago area offer games? I live in the northwest suburbs. Thanks.

You're probably a fair distance away from the Indiana Casinos if you are in the Northwest Suburbs, but they are worth the trip if you can make it out for a Saturday of fun.

Also, there is Hollywood Casino in Aurora IL (Far Western Suburb). They spread poker at $5/10 and up, I don't know if they have NL. Since Blagoiavich (sp?) got in office the taxes have forced pretty much all IL casinos to cut staff, cut hours and charge an admission fee. At Hollywood it's $4 for parking, $5 to get in the door, and they are no longer open 24 hrs.
