Typical Party 2/4 table. No read on MP3 as he just sat down to the table. The CO is a bit laggy.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

MP3 posts a $2 blind.

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A /images/graemlins/heart.gif, K /images/graemlins/heart.gif
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP3 (poster) calls, CO calls, SB folds, BB calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (11 sb) K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, J /images/graemlins/heart.gif, 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, CO raises, BB folds, UTG+2 folds, Hero re-raises, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Turn: (10 BB) 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, MP3 raises, CO folds, Hero...

Does anyone call this bet? I was already worried that MP3 was just calling along. If he has the flush, straight or a set I am drawing dead. If he just made two pair (a slow played KJ or a poorly played K9) then I have the odds to call. What is the best play here?

If I call and don't improve do I make a crying call on the river?

when a player "wakes up" like that, it usually means a monster
i think this is a safe fold, but I think the pot is big enough that you can make the crying call.

Easy calldown getting 13:2.

What if a fourth diamond hits on the river? Do I invoke the Clarkmeister 4 flush theory and bet at it? Do I just call a bet or is that an easy fold even though I would be getting 15:1?

Hell yeah bet at it, and fold to a raise.

Well based on the replies I guess I played this hand correctly. I called the raise on the turn. The river was the 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. I bet and MP3 called.

Final Pot: 16 BB

MP3 shows 4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

MHING.

You played g00t.

Interestingly, the turn and river presented both presented you with options, all of which were probably -EV.

On the turn, calling is probably less -EV than folding.

On the river, betting and folding to a raise is probably less -EV than check-calling or check-folding.
