Not sure how to make these Tournie posts. I play 20-40 to 40-80 limit holdem in LA and San Diego as my job, trying something new. (seeing my friend make more in one day than I have made all year will do that!) I know little about tournie and no limit...

Pokerstars and its $10 rebuy. The rebuy period is over and the blinds are like 300-600. I have 35000 and I am in 13th out of 200 or so.

Hand one: I get AcKc on button. EP raises 1800. I reraise 4600. I just thought this was a good amount, i dunno. He calls. Flop J22r. He checks, I bet half the pot. He calls. He now has 8000 left. Turn is a blank. He checks, I check. River blank. He bets all in and I fold.

Hand two. A little while later. I get AQo in SB. Button open raises 3800. Blinds are 400-800. I have $24000 left. I have him covered by only 2000.

I go all in. He thinks and calls with 88. I lose and go out on the next hand.

Help me with these hands, and tell me the best no limit and tournie books (i got Sklansky), thanks.

I think you played both of those hands right. That call with 8s was pretty bad. The best way to learn is probably this forum (specifically Fossilman's old posts).

Moving from limit to no limit tourney you better make sure you understand folding equity...other than that keep posting, we'll help.
