View Full Version : this is why i stick to limit
5+.50 NL SNG on stars. Very early in tournament, still level one. I'm BB, get 56, UTG raises minimum, there are 2 callers, I call, though I know I shouldn't.
Flop: 3 4 5 (suits unimportant)
I check, UTG bets 160 into 160 pot, folded to me, I raise the minimum. Why do I raise the minimum? I dunno. UTG calls.
Turn: 4
I bet 500 into $1000 pot.
I rule.
Do you want analysis on this hand? I'll give my opinion anyway.

I think this is a good call with 3 other players. Definately if it's suited... offsuit, for me it's close between call and fold. I'm currently experimenting with looser play with these speculative hands. I think 56 works quite well with 3 players with a preflop riase.

Hmm, I agree that this is poor. You've got an awesome flop. Certainly this is a candidate for the check-raise (although I've found this is often not respected in low limits and someone who bluffed with ace-high may call your re-raise). There's 320 in the pot, in Party it's a push. On stars with 1500 stacks, I'd ... probably still push though this may be wrong.
Alternatively you can just bet out the pot.

I recon it's pushing time. I still figure you for the best hand.
