I don't know if I'm being results oriented here, but I was a distant third behind UTG+1's KJ and MP1's AQ until the river card. MP3 had the flush. Maybe check calling the turn is the right play?

Eh, hard to give your opponents credit for those hands with no raise PF, especially AQ,

I think you played it fine.

I love the title of the thread btw. Fantabulous.

Anybody check raise the turn?

After UTG+1's flop smoothcall 3-bet? Screams set or KJ here. I guess I had my hearing aid out.

Agreed, I don't think your hand is strong enough here for a turn check-raise at all.

Agreed. I think I like your turn check call suggestion then.

Why did you call this call - raise flop move by UTG+1? C'mon he's got set or straight.

Well, I'm getting 16-1 to spike a 10 outer if he's got the straight. If he has tens or nines full, I've got what... a 7 outer because he holds 2 of my outcards and the other gives him quads. If he's got QT I've got 2 outs to a split. Q9 I've got 5 outs to a split. Q with a better kicker and I've got 6 outs to a split and 3 to a win. MP1 and MP3 look like they'll call a river bet with losing hands so they are providing "split equity". Calling the turn raise is about the only preriver move I made that I feel decent about.

My main problem with this hand is knowing the difference between somebody pumping a draw with pot equity and somebody with a made hand that beats me and my lousy kicker. I would hate to checkfold a top pair flop on a pretty drawy board but it could easily come back raised or 3 bet with me still ahead. I hate to give free cards on the turn to the small army behind me, but I could be behind. Blech. I really hated this hand (except for catching my perfect outcard against my opponents).

I would have checked the flop.

I would also have mucked to UTGs call-reraise.
