I am pretty sure this has been discussed, but I can't find the post.

Can someone give me a rundown of the corresponding limits in L vs NL ring games.

ex.) .50/1 limit = .10/.25 NL

I know this isn't an exact science... but there must be some general consensus

I'm a newb to NL, but the $25 games at Party are just awful. I was worried about sitting down with that much but not anymore, they play awful hands and never bet enough to drive others out of the pot. There could be a $6 pot after a PF raise with 4-5 people seeing the flop and the SB will lead out with a bet of $0.50, who is going to fold to that?

Lots and lots of limpers PF, sets seem to have huge implied odds when you make them.

And they love to chase flushes, $10 pot and you bet $15, alot of them will call to make the flush, its hilarious.

I know I'm due to get nailed on by 1 of these jokers but I'm making plenty off them now.

Was this a response to my post?

I guess no. It was just a post. Lol.

I donīt really know how to answer. You could use the buy-ins as a parameter. But, the play is just so damn different that I would make a direct relation. and also, from site to site the buy-ins vary (party is 25 BB, UB is 50 BB).
Playing with 200 buy-in in limit and no-limit is totally different.
Maybe someone else will come with the answer.

What do you think about this:

Party's NL tables only!

NL$25 = Fixed $0,5/$1
NL$50 = Fixed $1/$2
NL$100 = Fixed $3/$6
NL$200 = Fixed $5/$10

Or is it way off? I have never played fixed so I don't really know what I'm talking about.. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I guess what I was trying to say was...

The play at Party $25 is just as bad if not worse than .5/1 limit. I'm comparing play of low limit at party vs. the low end NL at party.

How bout this... what is the lowest limit a pro NL player would play. I know in limit Davidross was multitabling 3/6 games and living for a while. 3/6 is considered small stakes. In NL we put 2/4 in the mid-high stakes. So... that would make 1/2 the end of low limit in NL.

How much are you guys making multi-tabling 1/2 NL ring games?

If it isn't obvious, I'm another one of the limit monkeys that is dabbling in NL, and I'm just kind of trying to figure out what the skill ranges are at each limit... and how profitable they are.

What a few people have mentioned so far is about right. The limit .5/1 is comparable to the $25 NL. I personally think the 1/2 is harder than the $50 NL. Both are a step up from their previous level, but I find the 1/2 limit to be much tighter relative to the .5/1, vs the $50 which is much more similar. I have yet to make the jump to 2/4 or $100 NL. However, I've heard in limit the jump from .5/1 to 1/2 is bigger than 1/2 to 2/4. The opposite is true for the NL, so they probably even out in skill level again at 2/4 vs. $100 NL.
