I am planning a week long trip to vegas for the begining of november, and was curious if there were any particularly good deals or poker discounts that i should be made aware of. I will more likely than not be travelling alone, and will pretty much play poker 24-7. I never seem to be able to sleep when a casino is nearby. Thanks

daily excersize in futility: Doing a search in the B&M forum for anything having to with vegas. Results ensue.

go to www.cheapovegas.com (http://www.cheapovegas.com), which will give you links to each casino's website - on the strip or off.

Go to their websites and do a 'mock' room reservation and see what it will cost.

There's no magic formula here - you just have to do some homework.

Since you're going alone, playing poker 24/7 and aren't partaking in any of the other cultural activities Vegas has to offer - Why not skip Vegas and head to LA?

Play Commerce, Bike and the other rooms, get great action and lower your travel costs at the same time.

Lower travel costs? Really?

Flights are about the same price, you can get a poker rate for under $100 almost anywhere in vegas during the week, is LA cheaper than this?

Can't you stay in Vegas for $19/night?

Homer put together a helpful travel guide a while back.

Well I am going to vegas August 8th through the 12th and its pretty cheap. From Chicago, 175.20 round trip and I am getting a great price of 87 and some change for 4 days at the Palace Station. Now that's a deal. I'll be hitting all the main poker rooms, playing in the Orleans tournaments, playing lots of poker, but also taking in the sites too as we travel from casino to casino.

Best advice is to do a lot of shopping around and calling. That's what I did. A great place to start is that cheap-o-vegas site mentioned earlier. That's where I started from.
