one other guy I can't remember his name.

We've been playing dealers choice and so far we'd played 7 stud with a declare, pinneaple, and crazy fox, and I'd been playing real loosely and aggresively cause I get to play tightish every day and it's not all that much 'fun'. Other people have been playing a little tighter, but not too bad, as there has been plenty of limping.

We decided to play limit holdem and everyone would straddle. It's my stradle on schneid's bb.

it's folded to pudly4 who 3 bets, all fold to me and I look down at K/images/graemlins/spade.gifQ/images/graemlins/spade.gif and 4 bet, he calls.

flop A/images/graemlins/heart.gif3/images/graemlins/spade.gifT/images/graemlins/spade.gif

I bet, he raises, I 3 bet, he 4 bets, I call.

turn 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

I check call.

river 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif

I check, he bets, I raise, he 3 bets, who 4 bets and who calls?

I'd cap it...If he's got the A high flush I'll pay to make him prove it.

Against a thinking player I don't like 4 betting. The way you played this hand and check raising the river, if he doesn't put you on a flush draw he's a loon. I'd suspect he has something like A9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif or AJ /images/graemlins/spade.gif.

there is no cap heads up.

then I'd 4bet and just call if he re-raises again. Afterwards I'd throw my K at him when he shows me the A

it takes balls to 3-bet an obvious flush without a flush. you told him you have a flush. he told you he has the nut flush.

I meant gonores's BB. Dunno what I was thinking, lol.

Well, it was hard to see either one of us behind our monsterous piles of chips...very understandable mistake. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, More like I didn't recognize you cause I wasn't used to seeing chips in front of you.

That AND the PLHE hand vs. Bob T.

bicyclekick

ahh Yes, he did own me in that PLHE hand. He played it masterfully.

I still cant believe I convinced myself I had the odds to call the final 41 bucks. That's the only embarrasing part.

I'm really disappointed I missed out on at least coming by and meeting you guys (especially since I made the original post to begin with.. heh). The wife had to have outpatient surgery on Friday, though, so leaving the house for several hours on Saturday would definitely be -EV.. not to mention hazardous to my health.

Any plans to do it again?

Yes, you did bad arithmatic there.

I had a lot of fun, and I'm sure that we'll do it again sometime.

On the other hand, everyone played on a saturday night in a tough 3-6 game, instead of somewhere that they could have likely made a lot more money.

I'd like to do it again, but it will probably be at least a couple months.

depending on the limit you are playing here, i'd keep raising at least 50 times, if this is 10c/20c. but at $1/2 i'd go for 30 raises only. if at 3/6 i'd go for up to 10 raises. finally if this is something like 10/20, i'd go for 4 bet and call a 5 bet /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

"We've been playing dealers choice and so far we'd played 7 stud with a declare, pinneaple, and crazy fox"

I knew I should have copyrighted that damn game.

"I'd been playing real loosely and aggresively cause I get to play tightish every day and it's not all that much 'fun'."

I did the same thing at our L.A. 2+2 gathering. I lost. The only thing that made me feel a little bette is that Dynasty, also modifying his usual standards, actually lost more than me. Which wasn't easy.

On the hand in question, raise his ass one more time. Then meekly call his 5-bet.

Isn't this a textbook 4-bet and fold to a 5-bet situation? Am I missing something here?

We also ruined this fine game by making it a split game with an 8 qualifier. The Hi-only game rocks.

Are you kidding me? The hi-lo variation of Crazy Fox was awesome!

You just do not understand the keyness of playing low suited hands so you can scoop the low while making a flush for the high!
... <*(((><

ya the hi/lo version was much better imo. Certainly much more playable (or close enough to..) hands. Of course if you've never played a hi/lo game in your life I can see how you might not like it..
