PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Seppy is UTG with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
Seppy calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, 3 folds, CO raises, 2 folds, BB calls, Seppy 3-bets, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, CO calls, BB calls.

Ok, I have been runing good in this game and my ep raises are getting no action. That's my reasoning behind the limp re-raise, but this post isn't about pre flop, so please don't focus your comments here.

Flop: (13.50 SB) 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
BB checks, Seppy bets, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, BB folds.

considering how i played pre flop i think a bet out is better than a check raise on this flop, but i am not completely sure.

Turn: (7.75 BB) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Seppy bets, UTG+1 calls.

I bet the hand again for value.

River: (9.75 BB) 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Seppy bets ....

What are your thoughts on this river bet. I will post my thoughts along with the results after i get a few responces.

Final Pot: 11.75 BB
Main Pot: 11.75 BB, between Seppy and UTG+1.

No reason not to bet this river, hopefully if he doesn't have a diamond or thinks his flush is no good he'll fold. If you get raised here I guess you will have to fold unless he is tricky

Time to open raise with some weaker hands

With more people in the pot, I might check/call this river, but there's no reason not to bet this heads-up.

I don't like the river bet...

goes in that same ol' "If he raises or calls, he's got me, if he don't he folds..."

and he might raise - so I'll check/call - RB

I would bet with just a good TP here. You should try it, you'd be amazed what people will call with even on the scariest boards.

Do you call a river raise?

It's not your poker skills Clark, it's the good looks and charming personality.

Unlikely this guy isn't going to raise with less than kd, or maybe jd

in this low limit game i don't worry too much about being bluff raised on the river

I'll second that. In the last week (since SSH arrived, conincidence?) I have been betting the river MUCH more than I had been and I am stunned by what people are calling with. Holding hands they should have folded on the flop (never mind pre-flop), they will call a bet on the river unimproved.

he could call with top pair or some such hand, he could fold a low dimond, though he would probably have to be stupid to do either. On the other hand if he isn't stupid why am i sitting at a poker table with him?

it didn't look so pretty when the guy called and fliped over his a5o, with the 5 of dimonds. I still think my bet was right. considering the way he played the hand so far i'd expect he would have called with any A5 he might hold. If i had checked to him he would probably bet, and i'm not folding so i lose nothing when he has that baby dimond.
