For you older posters, the first Record (what's that) album you bought, or 8 track. For you younger posters, the first song you downloaded.

I am pretty sure the first CD(album) I bought was either Def Leppard: Adrenalize or Wayne's World Soundtrack.

The first Album I bought (Vinyl) was the Rolling Stones Beggar's Banquet. The first CD I bought was Tom Wait's Bone Machine. Fortunately, I am too young to have owned an 8-track, although I do remember listening to Fleetwood Mac's Rumors on the 8-track player of my friends older sister.

Recently, I bought my first Super Audio CD. It was the remastered Bob Dylan collection.

I can't remember which tape I bought first (I know the first one I owned was Dire Straights- Brothers in Arms).

First CD was Naughty By Nature's 19 Naughty III.

First song I dl-ed was a track my friend Fatboy made. I was very proud to host it on my site- and thought that this was a cool new way to distribute music. Yet somehow I missed the entire Napster fad until it was almost over.

What about us 80's children who had cassette tapes? When I was but a wee lad who could barely walk, I remember having a little brown plastic tape player and it played nothing but Michael Jackson's Thriller. That is until it ate the tape, I got pissed, threw it in the closet, stomped on it, and never picked it up again. I've since moved on to much better music. I was young and stupid - what can I say?

I guess it's highly unlikely that I personally bought that tape, but I did own it, so does that count? I don't have my receipt from my first music purchase like all you apparently do, so I have no idea what the first album I actually bought myself was.

Dude, you're a little mixed up as to what should cause embarassment. You are embarassed by Bonham, yet are perfectly comfortable with Survivor and Men at Work?

Bonham, while awful, isn't even in the same Embarassment Stratosphere as Survivor.

you're really coming off as unable to put stuff with the times. nobody that likes survivor should be embarassed. at "the time" everybody did, and now it's kitsch cool. still entertaining. bonham's "wait for you" is devoid of any value.

You're wrong about this.

NOBODY who listened to good music liked Survivor, seriously. How anyone could listen to that dreck with the great music being made "at the time" is beyond me.

Sorry, I'm not able to put stuff with the times.

"Everybody" like the Macarena, too, right?
