View Full Version : Are there any low-buy no-limit cash games in Vegas?

I play at Commerce and I play $100 buy no-limit tables. I'm spending the weekend in Vegas at the Mirage, which doesn't offer low-buy no-limit. They told me Bellagio offers $300 buy no-limit, but that's too high for me.

Does anyone know of someplace in Vegas (relatively close to the Mirage, preferably) that offers low-buy no-limit?

Excalibur and Luxor both spread $100 no limit games (tho luxor is disguised as a $50 game, but you can buy another $50 after you get below $50 lol). Sahara spreads $100 no limit after their tournaments at 7pm, the games are often very good. Other places spread it too. Bellagio is $200 buy-in 2-5 blinds. I believe Mirage is trying to spread it, I have heard rumors but the times I have been in there the last three weeks I haven't seen one going. Mandalay bay spreads $200 2-4 blinds no limit. In general, late at night the games are much better. Transportation is easy in vegas. I believe the new monorail will get you all the way to MGM, which you can then cross the street and take the tram from excal to mandalay bay if you wanted to play there.

I'll be in Vegas this weekend, too, and plan to play the small buy-in NLHE tables at the Excalibur, Mandalay and Bellagio. I'll be the Asian guy in the Pabst Blue Ribbon cap.

Just got through playing a weekend of no limit at the Sahara and Bellagio. The Sahara $100NL is pretty easy. Slow going but definitely profitable.

Bellagio $200NL is winnable too, but there are a lot more sharks in the water. I'd also suggest tightening up your play as the night progresses. It's a must move game, so you'll eventually get moved to the "main table." Same stakes, but you're sitting with a lot of players who've been playing for hours and have deeper stacks. Quality of player at that table is higher as are the implied odds.

How is the rake taken in these games? Is it the standard take a piece of the pot, or do they do it foxwoods style ($5 / 1/2 hr)?

I played the 2/5 blind NL game at The Orleans Thursday through Monday. 100 min buyin 500 max. Very soft game almost every minute I played. Couple of good players most of the time, but they are easy to spot. I am sure this game is only going during the tourney though.

That monorail should put Vegas on the map.

Excellent, then I'll check out some of these games this weekend. The time charge is horrendous.

My wife and I played at the Monte Carlo 7/14/04 and they had a $2/$5 blind No-Limit Holdem table with a $100 buy-in (not sure if there was a max or how they raked it)

The $2/$4 Limit Holdem game was OK, only a single $2 blind.

FYI, the smallest game at Mandalay right now is $4/8 NLHE.

Sorry, my bad, Mandalay is offering $2/4 NLHE, $200 max buy-in, and $4/8 LHE.

I did ok yesterday, up $119 after 5 hrs. I found it easier than UB's .25/.50 NL tables.
