My last 100 sng's at the $20 level resulted in 10 wins 20 seconds and 11 thirds. They are very typical results for me.So I thought I should be a bit stronger so the last 15 played more aggresively. Results 15 games 1 win 2 seconds 6 thirds.
What are the major mistakes made when heads up. I believe I am playing correctly but then again people used to believe the world was flat.

How and when are you adding the aggression?

I have added the aggression when down to three mainly pre flop. Forget about coming second. First or third as I have heard many quote. Well I have the latter covered.

Compare and contrast yourself to AleoMagus' guide. How are you playing differently? Are you pushing, reraising 3xBB, or minraising preflop? How does this depend on your stack size and position?

Really the best person to diagnose your play is you.

Are you getting whittled down? Steal more.
Are you getting caught on junk hands? Be more patient.
Are you seeing flops and not having enough chips to work with? all-in or fold.
Are you getting pushed off your blind? Loosen up your calls.

It shouldn't be that hard to diagnose what's going wrong.

As a baseline strategy, when blinds are 10% of stacks, try going all-in with:

Any ace
Any pair
K9+
QJ,QT
JTs,T9s,98s

Call all-in with AT+, 55+
