You can raise the turn bet and fold to a re-raise or a bet on the river.

I think many of the times you have the best hand in this situaition this will make you more money, and if you have the worse hand, it will cost you the same amount as calling it down.

With an accurate read this decision would be easier.

You can raise this if you are willing to fold to another bet unimproved (3-bet on turn or betting out again on river). If you have to see a showdown no matter what, then you played it right. The point is that you want to maximize your pot when you're ahead while not losing any more than you already would when you are behind.
