Well it could be any ace for that matter. A5 will win more than A6 because A5 has the straight potential that A6 doesn't. Is A5 better than A7? Better than A8? In my PT database I have A5s winning more than all suited aces until you get to ATs but this is after 100k hands so I don't think the stats for individual hands can be consider significant.

You can do on down the line for A2-A5 and think how high do you have to go before a higher ace becomes better than it. Anybody have any ideas?

I've just automatically valued a hand like A9s higher than A5s but if a statistically significant sample shows that A5s is better then it would help our games if we valued this higher preflop.

Any straight must include a 5 or a 10. This has something to do (minor yet noteworthy) with your analysis on aces.

Weak players generally play ace-anything very poorly. Strong players have crossed this ground already.

Ace-any is definitely an important area of the game to study very carefully.

It's not clear that A5s is better than A6s. A6s does slightly better against one random opponent (http://gocee.com/poker/HE_Value.htm) than A5s does (60.0% vs. 59.9%). Against 9 random opponents, A5s (14.5%) is between A7s (14.3%) and A8s (14.8%). An 8 makes higher pairs in addition to the times your kicker plays when you have a pair of aces.

A5o and A7o both win 10.1% against 9 random opponents.
