I play alot of poker & it seems I am working alot harder than most the other players I have spoken with,I feel that I am working twice as hard to out play others to make up for the card that I am not catching.Example:Played NoLimit for 6hrs last night(casino)caught only pr 10s the whole time, the rest of the time I have to try to out play people with marginal hands.I have been running like this for about 6mths.Is there a level of luck needed to catch good cards?Do some players run luckier than others?

over a short amount of time, of course luck comes into it, but as you play more and more luck comes close to being irrelevant

you could be suffering from FPS, fancy play syndrome. it usually happens when people aren't catching cards, but try to "outplay" others as if they're supposed to. it can be disastrous.

"Do some players run luckier than others? "

Yes.

But over the long run, all winning players will run lucky enough to win substantially. Though over that time some will run better than others.

short amount of time

That "short" amount of time "can" be hundreds of hours. To me, that isn't short. To the recreational player that can be an eternity.
