Which is the funnier comedy western:
(1) Support Your Local Sheriff! (1969)
(2) Blazing Saddles (1974)

- I like the early pick of Tombstone
- Three Amigos was also a good pick (I laugh just thinking about them shooting the invisible swordsman)

Fist Full of Dollars should be in this thread somewhere. Maybe Hang 'Em High.
Also some Duke flicks. Rio Bravo, El Dorado, etc.
Open Range was boring at times, but I enjoyed the gun fights.
I'm not sure if Dances With Wolves is considered a Western, but it's a pretty good movie.

Every movie in the "Man with no name" saga that Sergio Leone made is a masterpiece. But, TGTBATU is far and away the best of the bunch.

One of my favorite Holiday lines:
"Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game. I know! Let's have a spelling contest! "

"You're a daisy if you do"
Kilmer completely steals the spotlight from Russell. Practically every memorable quote from Tombstone was by Kilmer.

Josie Wales - by far
I love Tombstone and Outlaw Josie Wales. They would be two of my top three. The other is The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

High Noon
The Magnificent Seven
"True Grit" is one of those movies you can watch a dozen times because of the wonderful dialogue.
[Memorable quotes]
Defense Attorney: And what direction were you going when you were backing away?
Rooster Cogburn : Backwards. I always go backwards when I'm backing away.
------------------------------------------------------
Emmett Quincy: A funny lip?
Rooster Cogburn: Wasn't always like that, I shot him in it.
Emmett Quincy: In the lower lip? What was you aiming at?
Rooster Cogburn: His upper lip.

The Wild Bunch
I have to second this. This movie was a true trendsetter. The final scene is spectacular.
