ed_commerce's post made me think of a similar situation (that i think is worse). suppose a friend and i are both playing in a 1-table tourney, and we each have a 25% stake in the other. i think this basically amounts to collusion, as either one of us has an incentive to help the other move up in places. (for example, it's folded to my short-stack friend who pushes in for 4xBB. i'd probably call him with 77 if i didn't have a stake in his finish but fold it if i did.)
since it's helping us (presumably), it's got to be hurting others and therefor should be illegal. thoughts?
